GridView

R.layout.gridview

GridView is a ViewGroup that displays items in a two-dimensional, scrollable grid. The grid items are automatically inserted to the layout using a ListAdapter..

we can dynamically insert views using an adapter and we can do build Layouts with an Adapter.

Here is a working example using a grid view example below

we just use a GridLayoutManager instead of a LinearLayoutManager when we need to set the RecyclerView.

        gridView.setAdapter(arrayAdapter);
