Image button is created in xml layout
We just use an ImageButton and make the background whatever we want and set the icon as the src attribute in xml layout
Here , Attribute src is the actual icon that will be used in the ImageButton and attribute background is the shape of the Button attribute, which is a rectangle by default. If we want to use only the image, we can omit it, or we can use other colors/shapes around the icon.

package com.androidfeeders.imagebuttonexample;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.widget.ImageButton;
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
ImageButton imageButton;
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
imageButton=(ImageButton)findViewById(R.id.image_button);
}
}
