Android ProgressBar

R.layout.single_item

We can use the style ?android:attr/progressBarStyleHorizontal for ProgressBar

A spinning progress bar is an indeterminate progress bar. To use an actual progress bar we will want to call pb.setIndeterminate(false)

If We have thread in general and we are try to set up a progress bar that increments itself every second up to 100

MainActivity[MainActivity.class]

package com.androidfeeders.progressbarexample;

import android.support.v4.widget.ContentLoadingProgressBar;

import android.widget.ProgressBar;

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity implements View.OnClickListener {

    Button buttonSubmit;
    ProgressBar progressBar;

    @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

        buttonSubmit= (Button)findViewById(R.id.submitButton);
        progressBar= (ProgressBar) findViewById(R.id.progressBar);

        buttonSubmit.setOnClickListener(this);
    }

    @Override
    public void onClick(View view) {

        int id = view.getId();

        if(id == R.id.submitButton)
        {
            progressBar.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);

        }
        else
        {
            progressBar.setVisibility(View.GONE);
        }
    }
